Hi, I’m Adrienne Smith, the founder of the East Texas Homeschool Convention. Our convention is dedicated to connecting, educating, and supporting the vibrant homeschooling communities throughout East Texas. Recognizing the wealth of fantastic programs available locally, I aimed to bridge the gap between new and seasoned families, providing them with a variety of educational options. My goal is to ensure that children in East Texas have a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and explore different avenues in their education. Together, we can foster a love for learning and build a strong network for homeschooling families.

ABOUT
Hello, My name is Adrienne Smith, and I wanted to share a bit about the origins of the East Texas Homeschool Convention and its significance to me. Fourteen years ago, I began the journey of homeschooling my son. It was a completely new experience for me, and I am immensely grateful for the support I found within our homeschooling community. They uplifted and guided me as if I were a novice in this realm, and their encouragement was invaluable. This journey inspired me to establish the East Texas Homeschool Convention. I recognized a genuine need to connect families and demonstrate how homeschooling can be customized to fit each unique family dynamic. My heart is truly dedicated to empowering, encouraging, and educating East Texas families about homeschooling and the incredible opportunities it offers. Today, I am homeschooling my five-year-old daughter, and I am more passionate than ever about sharing the benefits of homeschooling with others. I firmly believe that homeschooling can help our children grow and thrive while fostering a strong sense of community. Through this convention, I hope to provide the resources and support that other families need to embark on their own homeschooling journeys with confidence.
